The Sustainable Ports project

Marine (maintenance) companies take an increasingly important place in small port areas in the 2 Seas region. These companies are not only important for employment, but also many innovations take place within these SMEs . At the same time these SMEs  are often seen as 'polluting' companies. To strengthen their position and, at the same time, to strengthen the image and attractiveness of the port areas, it is important that companies and ports become more sustainable.
Many 2 Seas projects have dealt with sustainable development of small port areas in very diverse ways. This cluster wants to bring the results of these projects together, but also to focus on the environmental aspects of sustainability in general and more specific regarding carbon reduction.
